MR. ANDERSON SLOBER CHEA
DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mr. Anderson Slober Chea, was appointed by the President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, to the position of Deputy Managing Director for Operations at the Liberia Telecommunications Corporation - LIBTELCO on June 18, 2019.
Mr. Chea now serves as the Deputy Managing Director for Operations of the Liberia Telecommunications Corporations (LIBTELCO) and comes with extensive senior management experience and fine leadership qualities. He`s an accomplished Telecommunication Engineer and Information Technology Professional with a wide range of experience in Telecommunications, Project Management and Business Solutions. HE`s a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the world`s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. Mr. Chea is a resourceful leader who aspires to achieve greatness through team work.
He brings to LIBTELCO an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the ICT infrastructure to assist the LIBTELCO`s family in achieving the unthinkable and to also ensure that the company becomes more viable and more productive. Mr. Chea believes in team spirit and will go all out to support the efforts of the Managing Director in driving the agenda of the corporation in straight adherence to the laws of the Republic of Liberia, international best practices which will enhance transparency and accountability, competitiveness and sustainability.
In 2012, Mr. Chea earned a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science (Information Technology) from the Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), in the United States of America along with a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Technical Track with emphasis in Project Manager (Telecommunications for Business). In April of 2009, Mr. Chea graduated with honors from the University of Liberia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and Economics.
His previous areas of work include but not limited to, the Pacific Architect Engineers (PAE -SSR) Liberia, DynCorp International - Security Sector Reform, the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS - (UNAIDS) Country Office Liberia, the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), among others. At these multinational corporations and government entities, Mr. Chea served in various capacities ranging from mid-level management to senior management role. Before being appointed by the President of Liberia, Mr. Chea serves as the Chairman on Research and Strategic Communications Committee of the Coalition for Democratic Change where he managed the entire ICT infrastructure of the ruling party.
