LIBTELCO’s new CDMA 2000 1X-EVDO network design currently includes 12 Base Tower Stations within the 50-mile radius of Monrovia and its environs. Our network provides quality service to all of Central Monrovia, Bushrod Island, Sinkor, Congo Town, Paynesville, Fendell, RIA, and Harbel. The network has a capacity for 600,000 subscriber lines initially and will provide the following services; fixed wireless; high speed wireless Internet; and push-to-talk radio, and 3G media services. Apart from the 12 new towers built in and around Monrovia, the corporation owns thirty-five (35) tower locations, of which thirty (30) are still standing and leased to the current GSM Operators. The corporation also owns an existing duct network throughout Monrovia that can be utilized to lay new cable, such as a fiber optic. Plans are in the works to expand services in the near future utilizing these assets. Below are maps of our current service area.
